Sunday Songs

"Mighty to Save" is one of my absolute favorite songs. The phrase "mighty to save" is so much more than just God's ability to do things. The implication is we are not mighty enough to save ourselves. Rather, God, in His power and His glory, saves us in our very greatest need. It is not by our works or our achievements but it is by the power exerted by God through Christ Jesus only which is good enough to bring sinners like us to Him. Today, the bridge was a prayer to shine the might of Christ especially in my workplace and in ministry.

MIGHTY TO SAVE

Everyone needs compassion,
Love thats never failing
Let mercy fall on me

Well everyone needs forgiveness,
Kindness of a savior
The Hope of the nation

Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is mighty to save,
He is mighty to save
Forever, author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

So take me as you find me
All my fears and failures
Fill my life again

I give my life to follow
Everything that I believe in
Now I surrender

Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is mighty to save,
He is mighty to save
Forever, author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

Shine your light and let the whole world see
We're singing, for the glory of the risen king, Jesus
Shine your light and let the whole world see
We're singing for the glory of the risen king, Jesus

Today's worship was just really powerful. I felt that the church after fasting just one day felt the return of God so powerfully. It was unquestionable that God was pleased with the hunger of the church. Even simple songs became worship.

We are yours.
We are yours.
We are yours.

We are yours means two things to me. First, that we belong to God and nothing can separate us from His love. Security. Secondly, that we surrender all that we have to Him, like clay in the hands of a potter, for Him to do what He desires to do with us. Submission.
